In Memory

Dan Renneberg

Dan Renneberg

Dan Renneberg, class of 1978, passed away from a fatal heart attack on December 23, 2022, in Las Vegas, NV. Even though I moved from Yakima after sophomore year we remained close for the rest of his life, a 50 year cherished friendship. Dan was a retired Boeing electrical engineer, avid golfer, traveler and family man. Funeral arrangements are pending at this time.

Sincerely, Phil Rose

Dan was a great guy, one of the old Gilbert grade school clan.Lucky I saw him a few weeks back when he was in Yakima.  Thanks Phil for the update.

I remember Dan from Gilbert School.  The first thing that comes to my mind, is that Dan was always kind and had a ready smile.  One of the good guys in life.  :)

I'm super sorry to hear the news. Like Doug said, one of the Gilbert School clan.

Dan was high quality:  kind, positive, and honest; just a really nice guy with nothing pretentious about him.  The world lost a good one.

Thanks to the last reunion to allow me to have one last round of golf and lots of good talks and laughs with him.

Wow - what a surprise. Dan stopped by to see me less than two months ago. I'm so glad he did. We were making plans to ski this winter at Brian Head mid-way between our two homes. As a transfer into IKE, Dan is one of the few friends I have kept contact with. We worked together at Wray's Thriftway, we would ski together at White Pass, and we would inner-tube the river from ~40th to ~Yakima Ave.

As others have mentioned, Dan was always kind and gentle. He had no guile. But he had principles and stood strong for them. Dan you lived well.

Dan was one of the sweetest guys ever. Some of us from the German Club have gotten together over the years and Dan was one of those who was always up for a party. He stopped by to see me in September and I will always cherish that visit with he and his wife, Kathy. Rest in peace, Dan.

I am so saddened by this news. Dan reached out to me in 2018 on this platform. We met up in South Lake Tahoe and had a good 2 hours together. It was great to catch up after all those years. Dan was a friendly soul and a good person. I will remember Dan fondly.

This was so shocking.  I was fortunate to reconnect with Dan at the Class Reunion, and we stayed in touch online.  Dan was very intelligent, but even more kind.  Rest in Peace Dan.  You will be missed.

Wow, this is very shocking! Dan and I just chatted a couple of days before his passing.  We planned to get together in the near future.  This goes to show how fragile life really is.  Rest in peace Dan.
