Randy Williamson

Randy passed away on February 7, 2011.  Here is his obituary as seen in the Yakima Herald.

ANCHORAGE, AK - Randy Williamson died unexpectedly from hypertensive cardiovascular disease on February 7th, 2011 in Anchorage, Alaska. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Randy was born and raised in Yakima, WA, graduating from Eisenhower H.S. in 1978, and going on to earn a Master's Degree from Eastern Washington University in 1984. Following a successful stint at Central Washington University as the Associate Director of Career Services, Randy had only recently moved to Anchorage, Alaska to assume the Career Services Director position for the University of Alaska Anchorage. Randy was very passionate about working with students and helping them develop their career goals and aspirations.

Randy loved hiking and spending time with his family. He was a gifted story teller, and loved making people laugh. You always knew if Randy was in the room because you could hear his voice and laugh above everyone else.

Randy is survived by his two brothers and three sisters, Mike (Synette) Williamson of Mill Creek, Scott (Kathy) Williamson of Yakima, Debbie (Dan) Trotter of Mill Creek, Tricia (Steve) Trotter of Kirkland and Tia (Sam) Uchello of Maple Valley, as well as his two step children, and many beloved nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you make a donation to the American Heart Association in Randy's name (www.americanheart.org).

There will be no services held.

Hey Randy, the internet sucks doesn't it. I track you down and you're not here. I'm happy as hell though you had a fulfilling life. Still, it was a sucker punch to find you listed here; damn the internet and the free flow of alchohol. As for the rest of you, slow down, live a little (or preferably, a lot).
