I spent most of my working life in the sales and financial fields. I have continued to do my artwork and various creative projects as a sideline. After leaving Western Washington University, I moved to Vancouver for a while, then, back to Yakima for a few years, then, to Baltimore/DC area for a year and eventually moved back to Yakima to stay. I met my, now ex-wife, Tami, in 1984 and we divorced about five years ago. As a result of an automobile accident in October,1997, I developed a funky auto-immune disease known as fibromayalgia-coupled with chronic fatigue syndrome, which essentially brought my normally type-A/ADD lifestyle to a screaching halt. This led to my forced, early retirement from work as I knew it. Although, I certainly wouldn't have chosen this path, I believe that it possitively influenced my outlook on life. It forced me to look at life from an entirely different perspective and I believe it helped me to re-evaluate my priorities and it led to some serious interpersonal growth I might otherwise not have experienced. My daughter and stepson live in Yakima and I spend as much time with them as possible.

School Story:

Hmmmm? A favorite story. I think all of my time at IKE was pretty much a lot of fun. Skipping Mr. Wyuff's crafts class with Mark Kirk, tossing the frisbee on the lawn right outside his class, in full view of Mr. Wyuff and class funny. He was a really good sport! The whole Orbit High deal was fun, too! Hanging out in the east parking lot with my friends comes to mind. The Five Star Journal was fun also. One favorite memory was the time I met Tami Brandt, on the first day of classes, as we were both looking for Mrs. Scoggin's class. It was not particularly special that I, Adam Grant, arrived late. But, meeting Tami most definitely was.
