Beverly Brewer DePuy passed away quietly in her sleep December 27, 2015. Beverly was a sweet, kind lady who always had a smile to share. Please share any memories you may have of Beverly.
Bev was the reason I got through Wilson Junior High. We were both "big girls" - social death in junior high and high school. We both loved music, movies, laughing, boys from afar, reading, history, cooking, and sewing. Her Mom Mary was my "Nother Mother" - Mary was a blessing during that awkward time.
Bev and I stayed friends through high school - sophmore year it was Bev, Karen Berry, Steve Rose, Cheryl Price, Rob Berry, and me. A bunch of different kids finding safety and acceptance in our small group. Bev was the glue. She was the one that reached out to each of us - drawing us in.
Bev and I spent a lot of time making music. I would play guitar and we would sing for hours. Carpenters, John Denver, Cat Stevens, America - ah - the good music!
Bev was the first friend I made at Eisenhower, and through her I met many of the friends who became important to me there. Besides being intelligent, kind and welcoming to this oddball, Bev was just plain FUN. She had a spark that kept her at the center of things. Her family was wonderful to me. I will always associate her with singing along to the BeeGees, parties (we went to so many of them together), sewing (because big girls did that back then), and laughter.

Bev's heart was huge - she will be missed.
