I came to Yakima from Wenatchee in 9th grade and returned to Wenatchee in 1979. I began working at Mission Vista in Dec of 1979. Mission Vista is a non-profit agency that provides residential and vocational services to adults with developmental disabilities. I became the assistant director in 1994 and the executive director in 2003. I played drums in high school for the jazz choir and have continued to play for a worship band at my church in Wenatchee. Both of my boys also play drums and guitars. I was in law enforcement working for East Wenatchee Police Department from 1985 through 1997. I also taught DARE for the police department for two years.
